Sarah, thanks for linking to this blog. Tom and I spent about a week in Germany and Prague last month and it's so nice to read how other Americans view the continent.
It really is disconcerting to realize that, although more people speak English (at least a little) than I expected, English is not the common language!
But Germany was so wonderful that I really want to go back. For the most part we only saw a few big cities, maybe two small towns, and we'd really like to explore the less tourist-oriented areas. France and Italy, too.
I hope you (and your friends) don't mind that I've bookmarked their blog and plan to check back and see how they're doing. It'll be interesting to Tom as well, since he's also Mormon.
